TV: FXX Greenlights Deadpool Cartoon

The merc with a mouth is no stranger to animated adaptations, having made appearances in “Ultimate Spider-Man,” the anime “Disk Wars,” and a hilarious role in “Hulk vs Wolverine,” to name a few. But now he’s getting his own animated mini-series, brought to us by Donald and Stephen Glover.

FXX has ordered 10 episodes of this new series, and if it goes well, we can likely expect to see many more. Reports state that there’s currently a writers’ room set up, although as the show has just been ordered, there’s no news on casting choices yet.

Donald Glover, along with his brother Stephen, are set to serve as writers, showrunners, and executive producers of the show. Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory will also take on executive producer roles.

We’ll have more information as it’s made available, so keep an eye on G33k-HQ for the latest in Deadpool news.
