Con Review: Crocker-Con 2015

DSC_0069This year’s Art Mix Crocker-Con at the Crocker Art Museum was a huge success! The attendance was great and everyone had a fabulous time! Guests got to meet local comic book artists and writers, explore new comics and board games, compete in the costume contest and get on down to the sounds of the Sleeprockers!

The California Automobile Museum didn’t need roads to get there as they flew in a DeLorean and came in Back to the Future costumes to pose for photos. They even passed out buy one get one free coupons to check out all the other amazing ladies back at the auto museum.

Crocker bDSC_0113rought out 30 comic books & podcasts for this wildly fun and quirky Art Mix! There was a food and drink happy hour, and $5 drink specials all night. The museum opened up to allow guests to do tours and enjoy the finer things in life as well. Folks enjoyed doing some shopping with the various art vendors and everyone made some new geeky friends.

Children enjoyed video games, an art and pin making station and of course seeing some of their favorite characters in real life. The night was a perfect blend of classy and nerdy fun and I for one can’t wait for next year.
