“Harry Potter” Returns in a Short Piece by J.K. Rowling

After seven books and eight movies, one might think fans of the “Harry Potter” series have had their fill. But anyone thinking that would be incredibly wrong. Fortunately, the wizarding world is always being visited and revisited, not only by fans on Pottermore, but even by J.K. Rowling herself.

Although the last book ended with a nice little “everyone is happy and has children” epilogue, there’s still plenty of blanks between Voldemort’s defeat and Harry’s happy ending that can be filled, and Rowling has decided to give us a little sample of that. Although there is still more Potter on the way (we’re all eagerly awaiting the “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” movie), we now have a look at Rita Skeeter’s rag piece in The Daily Prophet, as she reports on Harry, Ron, Hermione, and all the rest of Dumbledore’s Army when they reunite to attand the Quidditch World Cup Final.

The short story was released on, for members to see. For those who don’t have a Pottermore account (though I can’t fathom why), you can also read it online at

The Ghosts Betwixt A cooperative and soloable Dungeon Crawling tabletop game set in the 1990s haunted heartland.
