The actor spoke today to The Associated Press about him being eyed for potential roles in director Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four, Roland Emmerich’s Independence Day 2, and J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII. He confirmed that he recently auditioned for an unspecified role in the Star Wars film.
“I mean, everybody’s going in on this project,” Jordan expressed. “They’re trying to figure out what they want. That’s another incredible franchise. It’s pretty crazy! …We’ll see how it happens. I don’t know how I can do everything.”
The star also stated that, unlike in Saoirse Ronan’s audition, he wasn’t asked to demonstrate his lightsaber prowess.
Unsure about the status of the possible roles in Fantastic Four and Independence Day 2. However on the topic ID4, Jordan says that, “if that came true, that would be cool, too,” while staying optimistic about FF, which would re-team him with Chronicle’s Trank.
“Definitely interested in the project,” Jordan says of the Marvel Comics reboot. “Josh Trank is a buddy of mine.”
