Review: Geekology 2017

Geekology was held on January 28th at the Worlds of Wonder Science Museum in Lodi California. This event a bit different from the comic book conventions I normally attend as it at a hands-on science museum. The cost of the event was the normal museum price rate and parking was free in a covered garage. As this was a ‘hands-on’ event there was plenty of fun things to do such as, making cardboard swords, playing pinball, participating in tabletop games, playing classic console games, and even a high-tech gaming trailer provided by G*Factor Gaming.

The event had some vendors, and a high school robotics team. On of the highlights for me was talking to Hackers Lab.  Hackers Lab is a place to create; from CNC to Lazer cutting to 3d printing. They have two location in the Sacramento area. The gaming trailer from G*Factor Gaming travels to special events and available for parties. Oh and food. Taco truck can’t go wrong with a taco truck. Loved the Cosplay parade and Costume contest. Looking forward to a repeat of this event.

Oh and the food… They had a Taco truck, La Bamba Mexican Food, can’t go wrong with a taco truck like this one. I loved the wonderful costumes I saw during the cosplay parade and costume contest.

I am really looking forward to a repeat of this event.

Please enjoy a few pictures from the event below. Full gallery coming soon.
