Tech: UnBoxing The HP – Star Wars Special Edition 15.6″ Laptop

I was force-ed to get a new computer this past weekend, I will go into detail below, so I went ahead and purchased the HP – Star Wars Special Edition 15.6″ Laptop from Best Buy, and as we all know this computer is not like most others so I decided to do a unboxing gallery for you all.

My New Computer

In the last couple weeks I started to research specs for getting a new computer. My old computer running an AMD A6 processor 4 GB of ram and 750 GB of hard drive had signs of wear. The old computer cost between 250 and 350 just a couple of years ago. A few of the screws would loosen on their own and the case had several cracks in the plastics. The device has become fragile.

Devices I considered was
Dell – Inspiron 15.6″ Touch-Screen Laptop – Intel Core i3 – 6GB Memory – 1TB Hard Drive – Black at 399.99

Dell – Inspiron 15.6″ Touch-Screen Laptop – Intel Core i5 – 6GB – 1TB Hard Drive – Matte silver at 499.99

I was hoping to keep the cost down even found an AMD A10 in a Toshiba at 349.99 with 4 GB RAM and 1tb hard drive. I am a big fan of Best Buy, 12 month no interest helps with the budget. That is how I buy most of my large photography items.

The last computer considered was

HP – Star Wars Special Edition 15.6″ Laptop – Intel Core i5 – 6GB Memory – 1TB Hard Drive – Darkside Black at 699.99

At that price it was out of my price range. I was set on getting the Dell at 499.99 due to the cheapest I had found the Star Wars computer was on the HP website for 599.99 due to best buys price match and willing to match Amazon I was able to get the price down to 579.99, at an 80 dollar difference it was worth spending to get something cool. I even broke down and got the Star Wars Darth Vader wireless mouse. The old computer was updated to windows 10 and after backing up all of the data is now going to be used to process videos only due to it is too fragile to travel.
