Disney‘s upcoming streaming service is starting to look really nice! With a bunch of live action Marvel projects and the much anticipated ‘Mandalorian’ series in the development we’re suitably hyped.
Earlier today Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger made a big announcement that Lucasfilm is working on a ‘Star Wars’ live action series starring Diego Luna (Narcos: Mexco and The Book of Life) who will reprise the role of the rebel spy Cassian Andor.
Set before the events of ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, it will follow the character during the formative years of the Rebellion. “Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me,” said Luna. “I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply.”
The series is set to go into production next year and will air on Disney+. What do you think? Looking forward to this Star Wars spy thriller? What other shows are you hoping to see on Disney+? Let us know![Source: StarWars.com]
