The ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ card game ‘Three-Dragon Ante’ by Rob Heinsoo is getting an update from WizKids. Gamers will once again be able to hunker down around their favorite tavern table and play a few rounds.
The new ‘Three-Dragon Ante: Legendary Edition’ will maintain it’s original gameplay but will also introduce some new features to the card game. Here’s a quick run down of the rules, the game is played with three card hands in an attempt to win a pot. By playing weaker cards it allows players to use their special effects, which can give them an advantage in the next round. At the end of the game the player with the most gold will win.
Some of the new features include 15 new “Legendary Dragons” and 15 “Mortal” cards, gold and platinum tokens, and a set of Ability disks. Perhaps the best thing about this game is that you can use it in your actual D&D games as flavor or a RP tool. ‘Three-Dragon Ante: Legendary Edition’ is set to be released in July.[Source: icv2]
