It was announced Friday evening that actor Daniel Bruhl (Rush, Inglorious Basterds) has been cast in the third Captain America movie, part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s “Phase III” that will lead up to Avengers: Infinity War.
It has also been rumored that Bruhl has been cast in a villain role. This may make some comic fans curious since the storyline being adapted, Civil War, was very much hero vs. hero, specifically Steve Rogers vs. Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr. already announced to be in the movie adaptation). There are several members of Cap’s rogues gallery that Bruhl could easily step into. But if it is going to be a major villain, my guess would be…

Make Mine Zemo.
Captain America: Civil War, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, is scheduled for release on May 6, 2016.
