Dark Horse Proclaims “Hellboy Day”

hellboy-2Dark Horse Comics has proclaimed March 22 to be “Hellboy Day.”

This March 22 will mark 20 years of the big red “ape’s” considerable life since his public debut in a San Diego Comic Con eight page special “Seed of Destruction.”

Hellboy Day will be marked by in store events around the country, including West Hollywood’s Meltdown Comics and Collectibles hosting Mike Mignola himself. Events will feature a new sampler comic containing the classic Mignola stories “The Ghoul” and “Another Day at the Office,” and two new stories by Mignola, Fabio Moon and R. Sikoryak, and promotional materials offered by Dark Horse to retailers.

The anniversary will also be marked by the release of the “Hellboy, the First Twenty Years” artbook featuring Mignola’s favorite covers and illustrations.
