Film: DC Announces New Live-Action Series Metropolis

DC has just announced a new Live-Action series coming to TV in 2019, Metropolis. The series will be similar to Gotham, in that which the show will take place before the arrival of Superman. The show has already received a direct-to-series order of the first season which will consist of 13 episodes. The first episode will be directed by Danny Cannon with a teleplay by John Stephens, who are also serving as executive producers.

Metropolis will follow Lois Lane and Lex Luthor as they investigate the world of fringe science and expose the city’s dark and bizarre secrets. Airing exclusively on DC’s upcoming digital service, it promises to show us a wondrous and awe-inspiring City of Tomorrow, before the emergence of Superman, and establish much of the Man of Steel’s world leading up to his arrival.
