Tired of DC‘s television shows not matching up with their movies? Well looks like Krypton will be doing just that according to writer and producer David Goyer.
At a press junket, for Da Vinci’s Demons, he told ComicBook that “[Krypton] takes place 200 years before Man of Steel.” He goes on to say, “We scratched the surface in the film and, for me, that was the allure. I was always fascinated, as a kid, with the books about Krypton and they’ve only shaded in a tiny bit, so we’ll learn about the politics of the world. We’ll learn about the culture, the art, all the different guilds.”
So not only does Man of Steel get background information, delving deeper and farther into the lore of Superman then ever before, but it also goes the extra mile to tell its own story. This is something most franchises fail to do. Need an example? Star Wars is guilty of having a rich lore with the likes of Revan in KotOR, but we got to see Episodes I, II, and III instead.
This leaves this \S/uperfan craving to watch SyFy. Never before did I think I would say those words.
