Questions About Paul Bettany Playing The Vision

Paul BettanyWell, this is sure going to cause guessing a’ plenty over the next year.

It has been confirmed that British actor Paul Bettany, who loaned his voice as the artificial intelligence J.A.R.V.I.S. in the Iron Man movies and The Avengers will be coming back in Age of Ultron, but not as a voice. He will now be playing long-time Avengers member, the robotic Vision, who in the comics is the son of Ultron, the titular villain.

This raises some questions: Does this mean that Stark creates Ultron (James Spader) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? What about Hank Pym’s potential role? What will The Vision’s relationship with Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) be?

As for my own thoughts: I’m just hoping that this gives hope that the Age of Ultron post-credits stinger will involve a different son of Ultron to lead into a quite different movie.
