“The Flash” Casts It’s Wally West

You know, when The Flash television show was announced, the first question that shot through many fans minds was “Who’s is going to play Wally West?” I think there were more people asking that before they were wondering who was going to play Barry Allen, that’s how beloved Wally, the first Kid Flash who eventually succeed and surpassed his mentor Barry and became The Flash for an entire generation of fans, is in the Flash mythos.

And now he’s coming to the highly regarded television show.

Reported by IGN, Wally, the nephew of Iris West (Candice Patton), will be played by Australian actor Keiynan Lonsdale (Dance Academy, Insurgent) and will be a series regular. Series executive producer, Andrew Kreisberg, stated that “Just like when we met Grant [Gustin] for the first time, we instantly knew Keiynan embodied all the heart and courage of a hero. We are so excited to be bringing this much-beloved character onto the show.”

Now they just have to introduce Bart, Jenni and Jessie Quick and my Flash Fan Life will be complete.

Good luck to Mr. Lonsdale! The Flash season 2 will premiere on October 6.
