Here’s a list of what to look forward to in 2019!!


Captain Marvel (MCU)

Release Date: March 8, 2019

Status: script/Unknown cast


Captain Marvel will be Marvel’s first female lead feature length film!! This movie will focus on the story of one of the female Captain Marvels: Carol Danvers, formerly known as Ms. Marvel.

Get familiar with Carol Danvers:

Danvers was an officer in the U.S. Military that gained superpowers after an accident exposes her to alien Kree technology. After transforming into a super-human warrior, she takes on the name Ms. Marvel, becomes a prominent member of the Avengers, and eventually takes on the mantle of Captain Marvel.

Her abilities include enhanced strength, flight, durability and the ability to shoot concussive energy bursts from her hands.

We may be seeing a cameo in Avengers: Infinity War before her solo debut.

Shazam (WB)

Release Date: April 5, 2019

Status: script


Very little information is known yet about the film “Shazam,” but the movie will likely follow the story of Billy Batson, a young boy deemed worthy given powers by an ancient wizard.


Whenever he utters the word SHAZAM he is struck by a magical bolt and calls upon the heroes and gods of various mythologies, (gaining the power and abilities of Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, and Mercury) transforming into Captain Marvel.courtesy of comic vine

Captain Marvel is often mistakenly referred to by his mentor, the wizard Shazam’s, name. The confusion comes from legal issues surrounding Captain Marvel’s publication/trademark history.”


Only casting so far: Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson as Black Adam (Batson’s arch-enemy).


Avengers: Infinity War Part 2 (MCU)

Release Date: May 3, 2019

Status: script/ unknown plot


Avengers: Infinity War is a two-part sequel to The Avengers, and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Expect to see a bunch of Avengers, Black Panther, some Guardians Of The Galaxy, and maybe even a Defender or two.

Justice League Part Two (WB)

Release Date: June 14, 2019

Status: Treatment/Outline/Unknown Plot


Directed by Zack Snyder, the sequel will allegedly continue where Part One leaves off with the whole cast expected to return. We will also see solo movies between the release of the two Justice League films.

Cyborg (WB)

Status: Optioned Property


After a near fatal accident, Victor Stone is cybernetically enhanced by his father in a desperate attempt to save his life. Half Man/Half Machine Victor gains the ability to manipulate, communicate, and merge with practically all technological forms.

Cyborgs abilities include:weapon master, vibration wave, agility, blast power, electronic interaction, flight, gadgets, intellect, radar sense, stamina, super (hearing,sight, and strength). Courtesy of comic vine

We got our first glimpse of Cyborg in the DC Special and in Dawn of Justice.

Green Lantern Corps (WB)

Release Date: June 19, 2020

Status: Announced


A group of intergalactic space police who use willpower channeled through a ring, are dedicated to establishing order and protecting the universe. “Green Lantern Corps” is the final film in the currently announced slate of the DC cinematic universe. It will most likely stay as far galactically as possible from the previous Green Lantern film.
