ConReview: Phoenix Comic Con 2016

Phoenix ComicCon, Anime Cosplay, gaming, gamer, Phoenix, Anime, Marvel, Avenger, Arizona cover, Avengers, DC Comics, cosplay, 23Phoenix Comic Con was live with cosplay crowds in every corner, free photo booths throughout the con, artists alley was savage and attendees were excited. Best freebie award went to Geiko, offering a photo booth, sunglasses, a karaoke music video short, a cute stuffed green gecko and a drawstring bag! Mega score.
Men Vs Cosplay founder Anabel Martinez gave an informative panel and introduced some of their calendar hotties! A favorite was Cap Santiago, one of the nicest male cosplayers around! Check out this site and calendar, in it’s third year, they are still taking submissions and pre-ordering calendars for next year! What a great way to salute our men who devote time, effort and intense belief in their costumes and cosplays.
Convention costuming was heavy on Deadpool, Pokemon, DC Comics, general Anime and gaming cosplays. Temps are over 110 degrees at this time of year, so if you plan to come next year make sure you leave your personal items in the hotel room, makeup, liquids and electronics can overheat in your vehicle. Reservations for parking can be done online and is strongly encouraged for Saturday, the heaviest attended day.
Phoenix Comic Con gets a 4.1 thumbs up out of 5 from their convention cosplay, friendly vendors and attendees.
