This past Sunday December 13th, I had a chance to attend a new convention in Sacramento, Sac Gamers Expo. Sac Gamers Expo 2015 was a one day show held at the Scottish Rite Center in Sacramento. The day started out with pouring rain until about an hour after opening, but even with the rains there was eager gaming fans lined up outside waiting for the event to start. The event was well laid out. The main room had a good number of dealers selling, with a seating area for people to sit, eat and hang out. There was a good amount of classic systems and games in the “freeplay” area, along with a area full of crayons and gaming related pictures for kids to enjoy. The tournament room was in a different area, from what I saw, it was well attended, as at times I could not event walk into the room. One of my favorite highlights was the museum, where they brought back game systems from my childhood. On display they had everything from pong to the atari 2600, even a commodore 64. I had the opportunity to hang out with YouTubers, Sean Long of Toy and Game Reviewer and Rich Alvarez and Christ Muller of RMA Productions. Nerd Reactor‘s Videogame Bang did a live pod cast from the panel room. Assassin’s Creed fans were able to get autographs from Roger Craig Smith. I was able to take some pictures of some cosplayers at the event. I look forward to the return of Sac Gamers Expo in the following year. Enjoy some pictures from the event below:
Who likes cookies? Everyone likes cookies. You know who likes cookies more than anyone else on the planet? My wife. No joke. So when I checked out the rules on Harry's Place and saw that you are all competing for cookies, I figured that was a must play. It also helped that she has found that she enjoys worker placement games. This one seemed like it would be a can't miss.
