UchiCon is an annual convention held at the University of Chicago by the Japanese Society on campus. Beautiful and historic, the Ida Hall hosts this free event with multi-levels of panels, vendors, artists, food, gaming and cosplay.
Costume contests, kimono wearing, movie showings, free photos, $5 photo prints and just about anything you can imagine is there for attendees.
Early registration online will get you a colorful badge for those who collect them and ease in the entrance that will cut down on the line that forms every year.
UchiCon gets a 4.0 out of 5 thumbs up for their costume friendly environment, great photo ops in the historic buildings and cosplay networking. Go, go, go! Tons of fun and leave with massive amounts of pictures! Everything a cosplayer wants and more!
