Epic Games has announced a new grant giveaway, Megagrants, with 100 million in funding available for “creative, noteworthy, and innovative projects built in and around Unreal Engine or projects that enhance the open-source 3D graphics ecosystem .” The grants will range between $5,000 and $500,000.
The Grants are available for Creators of all types:
We love supporting UE4 game developers of all sizes with funds to make their projects a success. You can also apply for a grant to fund transitioning your existing or in-development game to UE4.
MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT
Individuals or organizations working on a film, broadcast, live event, or location-based entertainment project are eligible and encouraged to apply for funding.
If you are working on an innovative enterprise project using UE4, whether a visualization, simulation, design, interactive application, or VR/MR/AR project for architecture, automotive, manufacturing, or other non-game industry, you can apply for a grant to earn funding.
Earn funding for Unreal Engine research, curriculum, and student projects. We also provide grants for schools implementing Unreal Engine into classrooms and programs.
TOOL & OPEN-SOURCE DEVELOPERS
Developing a software tool that integrates with UE4? Creating open-source tools or enhancing the capabilities of open-source software to benefit the 3D graphics community? We love supporting open projects that solve tough problems or improve workflows.
