Culture: New Rubik’s Cube World Record: 5.253 seconds

World-record Rubik’s cube solving happens obscenely quickly, but you can barely even count the moves in Collin Burns’s record-setting 5.253-second run.

Burns was taking part in the final round of a competition in Pennsylvania on Saturday when he posted the time. Although the record hasn’t been updated yet on the website of the World Cube Association, Mashable reports that the result is expected to stand. The previous best for a 3×3 cube was 5.55 seconds, set by Mats Valk in 2013. [Mashable]

About Shaynell

Geeks, Nerds, Gamers ... we’ve all been outcasts for years, decades if you will. We are finally getting recognition and notice and I feel that it is merely just beginning. The force is strong within us all and when we come together and unite for the purpose of staying informed and growing as a whole, everyone benefits. That’s what I expect. I hope to help G33k-HQ continue to grow, expand, unite and inform the Geeks, Nerds and Gamers of the cyber world.
