Dr. Seuss World Is Getting A J.J. Abrams Adaptation

The world of Dr. Seuss movies is getting revamped, including Oh, The Places You’ll Go! getting made by J.J. Abrams.

Oh, the Places You’ll Go! is being produced by Warner Animation Group and will be adapted by Bad Robot Productions, with Abrams as head, and Hannah Minghella set to produce. The film is set for a 2027 release.

“Dr Seuss’ Oh, The Places You’ll Go! is full of the inspiration, imagination, wonder and hope that has encouraged and entertained readers of all ages for generations. …It’s hard to imagine a more iconic or beloved book to bring to life as Bad Robot’s first animated feature for WB.”

Also part of the Seuss revamp is a new animated The Cat in the Hat film that will have Erica Rivinoja and Art Hernandez as directors. That film “is targeting a 2024 release date.”

Along with The Cat in the Hat animated film, THing One and THing Two are set to get their own film sometime in 2026.

There is also the animated Green Eggs and Ham, that has been renewed for a second season over on Netflix.
