Tamron, a leader in Camera lenses is currently on tour. The road team is made up of seven members working in two person teams traveling to 70 stops throughout the US, possibly to a local camera near you. Today was the tours first stop at Mike’s Camera – Sacramento CA. This is the first of four California stops, with stops at Shutterbug Camera Shops in Santa Rosa, Action Camera in Roseville and San Jose Camera & Video. The event featured 3 seminars a day. Each seminar lasting 45 min, followed by an hour of practical photography practice using lenses provided by the reps. Today got to try out the sp24-70mm f/2.8, sp90mm macro f2.8 and sp70-200mm f2.8. Next week I am considering going to the event in Roseville and try out only prime lenses. Of those that attended it was an even third split between Nikon, Canon and Sony users. The 3 sessions today were Travel and Nature Techniques, The Art of Macro, and Light like a Pro.
