Fashion: New Nike PG2s Show Some PlayStation Love

Nike working with Basketball star Paul George has announced the new PG2s. The new shoes show off Paul George’s love of PlayStation.

George Said:

“I just had a knack for video games….As soon as I discovered PlayStation, I was throwing hints here and there to my dad — cutting out the clipping of a video game, cutting out the clippings of the PlayStation, leaving it on his dresser. I remember on Christmas morning, I unwrapped my gift and sure enough, it was the PS2. I’ve been a PlayStation guy ever since.”

Most noticeable homage to PlayStation is the tongue with a “PS” light-up logo in blue, which when pushed you will feel a pulse meant to mimic vibrations from a DualShock controller.

The downside to this is that the batteries are “Self COntained” and only last 150 hours so you will want to use sparingly.

Other PlayStation Details:

“…the insole is made up of a galaxy-themed graphic that Sony provided to Nike, which was designed to resemble the company’s dynamic PlayStation wallpapers. You’ll also notice that the lace locks have the same light colors as the buttons on the PS controllers: blue, green, pink and red.”

The more I have reviewed games the more I have found that I crave light, or medium light games on my shelf. This is not to say I prefer them to heavier games necessarily, but I find I spend a lot of time, and effort into making sure that I have rules correct, and learning how to play that sometimes I just want to sit down with my wife and play something quick and easy. Something along the weight of Ticket to Ride, or Splendor.
