Puma is going to re-release their RS Computer sneakers. The first RS, Running System, sneakers were introduced in 1986 and was way ahead of it’s time. The originals had a large computer chip in the back that would save like distance, calories burned and time running that you could then load into Apple IIE/Commodore 64 computers.
Flash forward 33 years later and why the shoes look the same they are loaded with fresh tech. you can now charge via USB and Bluetooth the data straight to mobile devices. Some of the new tech includes a “miniature 3-axis accelerometer, an extended memory that records 30 days worth of running data, LED indicators, and a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery.” If you want a pair you will have to act fast as there will only be 86 pairs made for the market. They are set to release December 13, 2018 – 10:00 am EST.
