This year was awesome and full of surprises. I’ve been attending NYCC for about 11 years now; since it first started at the Jacob K. Javits Center in 2006! Year by year I watch the madness intensify as the crowds grow exponentially. New York Comic Con annually organized by ReedPOP, is the biggest pop culture entertainment convention on the East Coast. NYCC features comics, anime, video games, toys, television and movies.
It’s always exciting to see what will be unveiled next. I always make sure to plan out everything that I plan to see in advance. I like to dedicate a lot of my time speaking with creators and attending panels. I love checking out new comics, and most importantly, support indie comics. I like attending panels to get the first peek or scoop on new releases; whether it be comics, movies, t.v. shows, or discussions.
I saw some amazing cosplays this year, chatted with talented creators, and saw some of my favorite exhibitors: J Scott Campbell/Luis Royo/ and Aspen comics! My favorite section is usually Artist Alley but due to construction it was moved downstairs. Honestly Artist Alley was overwhelming and hard to walk or breath so I didn’t spend as much time as I’d like this year. However, I still had an amazing time at the convention.
Check out some of my photos and footage from this years Con! Enjoy!!
