Stockton Con 2014 Is Going To Be Epic!

This years Stockton Con is really looking like it will be a blast! Not only is Stockton con is expanding from a one day event to a two day event, but they have a impressive guest line up and lots of fun activities. The event is being held on August 9-10th at the Stockton Arena. Tickets are very reasonable $15 for both day or $10 each if you pre-order them or only $20 for both days or $12 each day at the door. Tickets are available at the Stockton arena Box Office, Ticketmaster, and over 20 locations. The event hours are 10-5 Saturday and 10-4 Sunday. Some of the guest in attendance are:

“guests Danny Glover (Saturday) and WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley (Sunday)…. Denise Crosby (Walking Dead and Star Trek), Nicholas Brendon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and WWE Legends “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan and Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Other celebrities include Todd Bridges, C. Thomas Howell, Kathy Garver, Kristy McNichol, Marty Cove, Richard Kiel, Billy Zabka, C. Andrew Nelson and Charlene Tilton. Among the Comic Book artist greats are Dan Brereton, Ron Lim, Chris Marrinan, Mark Bode (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Bill Morrison (Simpsons, Futurama) and Tony Fleecs (My Little Pony).”

Stockton Con will have panels not only at the Stockton Arena but will also have panels going on at the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel.  They will have a big exhibitor area with over 200 vendors artists and more. The Chase Chevrolet Costume Contest will be held both days, with great prizes. There will be a drawing area for all ages to show off their skills, along with some gaming tournaments: Magic Tournament, Vanguard Tournament,Yu Gi Oh! Tournament,Video Game Tournament, and Pathfinder.  There will also be some great after hours events happening at Stockton Con this year:

Saturday night will be highlighted by the first-ever StocktonCon Rockage Showcase Concert at the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel’s Ballroom, featuring DJ Coco and Adam West The Bat. Sunday night, after the show ends, Mick Foley will be performing his Tales of Wrestling Past show at the Bob Hope Theatre in Downtown Stockton. Tickets are just $22.50 for the show, that will be opened by comedian Mike Winfield (The Office).

Stockton to Host Third Annual Pop Culture Convention Event will benefit St. Mary’s Dining Hall and United Way of Stockton StocktonCon returns to the Stockton Arena on August 9-10. The pop culture convention and fund-raising event has expanded to two days this year, after a crowd of over 7,500 filled up the Arena on August 4, 2013. Ticket prices for the two-day event are $15 for a two-day pass and $10 each day if purchased separately in advance. At the door, the price will be $12 for each day, or $20 for both days. Tickets are currently available at the Stockton Arena Box Office, over 20 locations around Northern California and http://ticketmaster.com. The show will run from 10am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday. Proceeds from the event will benefit St. Mary’s Dining Room and United Way. This past August, Stockton-Con 2013 drew over 7,500 fans to Stockton Arena. The first event, in 2012, had over 4,000 fans at University of the Pacific’s Spanos Center with an array of artists, vendors, and special guests in attendance. In the past two years, Stockton-Con fans and vendors have helped raise over $30,000 for St. Mary’s Dining Room and the United Way and donated over 3,000 pounds of clothing. Proceeds from Stockton-Con will again benefit St. Mary’s Dining Room and United Way, which provides meals and medical assistance to the homeless and to working families living at or near the poverty level. Stockton Arena is home to the Stockton Thunder, a professional hockey team that plays in the ECHL. The arena also hosts a number of concerts and special events throughout the year.
