Stan the Man has had numerous business ventures throughout his illustrious career, some more successful than others. One such venture, Stan Lee Media Inc. formed in the 90’s and bankrupt shortly after. The failure of that company hasn’t stopped the shareholders from filing lawsuit of lawsuit claiming rights for just about any Marvel character they can think of.
After losing a billion dollar lawsuit against Disney last fall, SLMI has turned it’s attention to Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. The much maligned musical debuted to disaster and horrible reviews, but for a while it looked like it’s run was ultimately looking like a success. Sales died down, however, and ultimately, the show closed up shop, leaving behind tabloid drama, lawsuits, and injuries.
