Throwback: Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

Right off the bat, I have to say if you can’t suspend belief for cheesy vampire movies you should just skip this movie, because you have to do it a lot. If you like fun, ridiculously cheesy entertaining movies that sometimes are so bad in parts you laugh, then rush out to pick up the film to watch it tonight. abraham-lincoln-vampire-hunter-1920

This movie was fun and pretty much the cheese fest I expected. The acting was good, the settings were fun, there were scenes that were so unbelievable that you laughed out loud, but you were interested in the movie and the characters. You followed the plot twists, you jumped at the scary parts, felt sorrow for the characters, pleased at the vengence. Overall other then a few really bad B movie style scenes I really have nothing bad to say about the film.

It set out to be something fun, that wasn’t taken seriously and accomplished that to a tee. Benjamin walker played Abraham Lincoln and in my opinion was fabulous. He really nailed the role and was who really made the film worth the time. Rufus Sewell played our bad guy and was the perfect bad guy, I really thought he was fantastic. The chemistry between Abe and Adam was great and you really felt the sparks everytime they met up. I loved the twists in the plots, even though I called them early.

This really is a fun movie to sit and see with friends. It has the potential to be a great movie, maybe not a quality movie but definitely a fun movie. Go See it, it’s worth the movie for the enjoyment you will get out of it.
