‘Dungeons & Dragons’ Live Action TV Series in the Works

As you creep from the cavern entrance you see before you piles of glittering gold and jewels. Piles of riches as far as you can see. As you make another step forward, you hear a loud roar from above and a loud clash as the room is covered in clouds of dust. As it settles…you see before you a giant red dragon. Roll for initiative!

The gaming hobby known as ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ has become really popular in the past few years with many live stream shows on TWITCH such as Critical Role. Now word has it that a live action television series is in the works from Hasbro‘s studio eOne.

Working on the project is Derek Kolstad (John Wick and Die Hart) who is known as the creator and writer behind the John Wick franchise. He’s been tapped to develop a pitch for a live action TV series based on D&D.

Already in works is a live action feature film from Paramount which is in the casting stages at the moment that will star Chris Pine (Star Trek and Wonder Woman 1984).

Along with Kolstad, we also hear that there are multiple other writers at work developing various projects set in the popular sword and sorcery hobby. We’ll definitely keep our ears open and see what develops.
