Moffat Talks Doctor Who’s Future

For fans, since the Twelfth Doctor’s inception, they have been wondering about the future of Doctor Who; however, it would seem there is no need to worry. In a recent interview, Steven Moffat, current showrunner, said

I thought it would last 10 years. I didn’t think it would last ten years with BBC Worldwide trying to get me in a room to talk about their plan for the next five years! It’s going to do a minimum of 15. I mean, it could do 26!”

That is excellent news as Doctor Who celebrates its tenth anniversary since it’s comeback, with Russell T. Davis and Christopher Eccleston in 2005.  Since then success has been phenomenal to the tune of which Moffat does not mind singing to.

Ten years on, our ratings are pretty much the same. Actually, internationally, bigger. No show does that! You’re meant to go down! Doctor Whojust stays. It’s extraordinary!”

And it absolutely is fantastic. The Doctor Who Fandom has been in love since Ten stepped onto the stage. Here is hoping another ten is on its way, in more ways than one.
