“Super Smash Bros.” Leaks Start Streaming

The new “Super Smash Bros.” game for the 3DS is on its way, and the leaks keep coming. Although Nintendo has promised to release the full roster soon, some players have managed to get their hands on early copies, and have been streaming the games for all to see. As such, we’ve managed to learn about many of the new and returning characters.

One of the first hidden characters we’ve seen is Dark Pit (AKA Pitoo), originally seen in “Kid Icarus: Uprising.” As the character is literally an evil clone of Pit (who really turns out to be more of an anti-hero), it’s only natural that he’s a clone character in fighting style as well.

Following an unconfirmed leak, we also know that the Duck Hunt Dog is making its Smash Bros. debut. Though an unexpected character, it’s an addition that has many players excited.

Another new addition is Bowser Jr., another character from the Mario games. While the usual Bowser is a slow but tough tank, Bowser Jr. is smaller, flying around in a little clown-copter. Apparently it has alternate costumes as the other Koopalings, Bowser’s other children.

Making his return from the GameCube’s “Melee,” we have Doctor Mario. Falco is also returning, alongside such series staples as Ganondorf, Ness, and Wario. Captain Falcon’s return was announced a while ago, and while there is no official confirmation of Jigglypuff yet, earlier leaks, which confirmed Shulk, Bowser Jr., and the Duck Hunt Dog before their release, included the little pink Pokemon as well, along with the robot R.O.B.

However, the Ice Climbers are not included on the list. Lucas, Snake, and Wolf, who made their debuts in Brawl, are not returning either, although rumor has it they will be available as DLC later on.

Streams playing the game on Twitch are popping up here and there, so we can learn more about new and returning characters from that. If you prefer an official source, though, Nintendo will have a special “Live @ the Treehouse” video presentation tomorrow, where all will be revealed, and keep your eyes on the official site.
