Tacoma FD Premiered Tonight

So, who watched the premiere of Tacoma PD on trueTV tonight? No clue what Tacoma PD is? Well, this one might be for the casual Broken Lizard fan. It has some of that classic dude comedy you would expect from
Kevin Heffernan and but let me give you the official information:

On the heels of the breakout theatrical release of Super Troopers 2, co-creators and stars Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme will be donning new uniforms in Tacoma FD, a half-hour comedy set in a firehouse in one of America’s rainiest cities. Light on blazes that need extinguishing, this crew keeps themselves entertained with creative competitions, friendly first responder rivalries, and bizarre emergency calls. Leading firehouse shenanigans in the 10-episode first season are Chief Terry McConky (Heffernan) and Captain Eddie Penisi (Lemme), alongside an eclectic crew played by series regulars Hassie Harrison (Southbound), Eugene Cordero (Black Monday, The Good Place), Marcus Henderson (Get Out, Homecoming),and Gabriel Hogan (Heartland).

The show stars Heffernan as Chief Terry McConky and Lemme as Captain Eddie Penisi. McConky’s daughter (Hassie Harrison) plays the station’s first ever female firefighter.

“The fire station is still kind of an old boys club,” Heffernan said. “And we really wanted to have a woman come into the station and kind of shake that up.”

“Kevin’s cousin is a firefighter in West Haven Connecticut, Bill Heffernan, and all these firefighters just have incredible stories,” Lemme said. “They live in the station 24 hours at a time, so they all play pranks on each other in their downtime. And when they’re not fighting fires, the calls they go on are still pretty ridiculous … so we thought it was kind of a rich place for comedy.”

“I think there are probably a lot of guys who are excited because they’re fans of Super Troopers, but I think people aren’t sure — since it’s a comedy, they don’t want us to be making fun of things,” Heffernan said. “I think we’re very respectful and the idea is to make it feel like you want to hang out with those guys, and so I think they’re gonna like it in the end.”

We would love to know what you all think of the series, so when you see it on give it a try and let us know.
